Julius D'Genius Lip shines on Thisday Style Cover.

Couldn't help notice the Pink lips! The wonders of make up isn't limited to just the ladies right now as a host of celebs and politicians wear it when shooting video's and making appearances on magazines and interviews. For them its still "No homo!" because to avoid a shiny face before the camera you need to apply powder and that my dear is where make up begins. Julius Agwu recently celebrated his 40years on earth. He looked Daper in his feature, as he was the cover of Sundays THISDAY Style Magazine. For Him its the beginning of the restarting of his career. May his career continually grow in lips leaps and bounds.

STAR STYLE TIP: OMOTOLA'S TIMEless make up @ TIME 100 Gala in New York

No doubt Omotola Jalade- Ekeinde looked amazing in her black number at the TIME 100 Gala but what I love the most is her make up. I mean, of what use is a fabulous dress on a messy face? hun?
To replicate this Look:
1. Choose the right powder that complements your natural skin tone
2. Easy on the brows. No need for the Heavy inverted Nike logo we Nigerian
Make up artist have become guilty of(Covers face). Fill in your brows using a brow filler or brown pencil and blend using a mascara wand or brush.
3. Apply Nude eyeshadow all over eye lid, the crease and eye bone. Stick your strip lashes gently on eye lid. Using black eye liner preferably Kohl pencil, line water line and ensure all coners of the eyes are neatly and properly lined giving a nude smoky feel to your eyes.
4. With a brush gently apply Bronzer on face. Focusing on the T zone(Nose/forehead) and cheeks. A soft dash of Light blush to highlight your cheeks will give the finishing touch.
5. Create a perfect pout by lining the lips with a slightly tinted colour and fill in lips and blend with a nude shade.
#The trick is blending in of the right powder shade, neatly lined eyes, the hint of blush, her slightly tinted lip.

MY VIDEO SHOOT WEEKEND

Halos! Its Monday again!!  Hope you had a great weekend? Yours truly had a fun and fabulous one working on Tomi Odunsi's makeup for her upcoming single "I wan Blow!"  I think the song and the video concept is completely amazing and something a lot of us can relate to. I can’t wait for its release. #Anticipate. This was my very first time working behind the scenes of a musical video shoot and I am thankful for the experience. Can’t go into a lot of details. But let the Pictures do the talking.

GUL MEENA'S SCARS OF SURVIVAL, VICTORY, SHAME OR HONOUR?

KABUL, Afghanistan — The stitches and bandages are gone, but scars streak across one side of the girl’s face, across her cheek and behind her ear: stark testimony to the brutal attack she barely survived Six months ago.
I stood in shock in front of my TV as I watched the feature on this  young brave lady on CNN. Gul Meena was married off at 12years old to a 60year old man and is a victim of honour killing. Honour killing is the traditional practice in some countries of killing a family member who is believed to have brought shame or dishonour to the family. The teen girl was said to have been attacked with ax by her brother, the full story is even more shocking. Is there any honour in Honour Killings?

AFWL INVITATION

FG set to scrap NECO, cancels UTME

Federal Government has concluded arrangements to scrap the National Examination Council.(NECO)Plans have also been concluded to cancel the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination being conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board for applicants into the nation’s tertiary institutions. JAMB will however not be scrapped. The government’s decisions, which would be made public soon via a White Paper, are based on the recommendations of the Stephen Oronsaye-led Presidential Committee on the Rationalisation and Restructuring of Federal Government Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies. Whatever the government decides I don't like JAMB. (Not just because I was "JAMBED" severally) If I had my way it will be scrapped. What would you do if you had your way?

Senegalese woman traffics drugs for lover

A 33-year-old woman, Kamara Oumou, who was arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, has said she got involved in drug trafficking because of love. (Pls lets be mindfull of the things we do for love biko!)
Oumou, a Senegalese, was arrested last week at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos while attempting to board an Arik flight to Dakar after a one-week visit to her Nigerian lover, Hakeem.
Oumou had used industrial tape to strap three parcels of cocaine weighing 515 grammes to her waist, while six wraps of heroin weighing 165 grammes were inserted into her private parts.
NDLEA airport commander, Mr. Hamza Umar, said, “Oumou had in her possession a Senegalese international passport with number, 400680371.
“She was found to be in possession of 680 grammes of narcotic that tested positive for heroin and cocaine. It was carefully concealed but not intelligent enough to escape our detection.”
Oumou, however, said she was not paid money to smuggle the drugs. (It gets more interesting)

THE Presidency on Monday announced that wife of  President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, had travelled to Germany, where it said she visited often for medical check-ups.

Hmmmmm!

#LAGOS CARNIVAL TINS

All about the Lagos Heritage week! Eko oni bgaje ooooo!

THANK GOD AM ALIVE...

Just yesterday, I was driving on the high way, with no traffic, no worries, not even a care in the world the only thing present was that gay, happy feeling you have when you’re driving on Lagos road on a public holiday. Next thing, I hear a loud sound, my car jerks to a halt and but for the grace of God and my seat belts-on I would have flown out through my wind shield. When I looked back, there was no car behind me. At that point could not tell if I was hit by panic or by a car. For a few second I sat silent, smitten by a panic attack, thinking it was typical Lagos "hit and run". I heaved a little sigh of relief to find the family of the man who hit my car asking if I was ok. He was with his wife and kids; they were all just coming from the beach. (Can’t tell how many bottles but I am certain someone had been drinking). They were kind enough to park and come attend to me (there aren't very many nice people in the world today). They were apologetic and have offered to take responsibility for the expenses.  Trust me that does not happen every day. In Lagos some people hit u, insult you and go scot free. I am thankful I am alive. This was one Easter to remember for me. Because He lives, I live. Am alive today only because of His grace.
This is not a public service announcement, but please, do not drink and drive, do not drive without your seat belts on. Save your life and the life and others.
