8-YEAR-OLD SCHOOL BOY WEDS 61-YEAR-OLD BRIDE

Young school boy puts a ring on it in obedience to wishes of his dead ancestors...

8-Year Old Sanele Masilela from Tshwane, South Africa, said he had been told by his dead ancestors to wed 61-year-old bride Helen Shabangu. Although members of the community are shocked, the bride Helen, who is married to her husband of 30years with 5 children aged between 37 and 27, was happy with the arrangement and said ‘I’m married and have five kids of my own, but I know that this is what the ancestors wanted – and now they are happy.  Mother of Sanele ,Patience Masilela says ‘This is the first time something like this has happened in the family. Sanele is named after his grandfather, who has never had a white wedding before he died so he asked Sanele to get married. He chose Helen because he loves her. She futher stated ‘by doing this we made the ancestors happy. If we hadn’t done what my son had asked then something bad would have happened in the family. The total cost of the wedding was £1,500 including £500 for the bride.
